Given that this is a new section we have set forth the following guidelines for you to consider when creating you presentation.

The content is completely up to you. There is no right or wrong approach to the way you construct your slides or answer this question.
There is a strict maximum of 4 slides.

Slides will be printed and added to your file for review, therefore, flash, hyperlinks, embedded videos, music, etc. will not be viewed by the committee. You are limited to text and static images to convey your points.

Slides will be evaluated on the quality of content and ability to convey your ideas.

You are welcome to attach a word document of notes if you feel a deeper explanation of your slides is necessary.

If you do not have access to PowerPoint or a similar software application, you can contact the admissions office at admissions@chicagogsb.edu for alternative methods.

(Optional) If there is any important information that is relevant for your candidacy that you were unable to address elsewhere in the application, please share that information here.

In addition, I have added all these dates on a google calendar. I know that a similar calendar had been created for the class of 09 and I found it very usefull.

I will be updating this with the deadlines of the top 25 schools.

You can either add it to your google calendars by searching for 'DJM'S MBA', or access it over the web using the following URL:
https://www.google.com/calendar/embed?sr ... google.com

Let me know if you have trouble accessing it.

Also, if you guys are interested, I can add a couple of people who can edit/manage this calendar.

I started this thread to post all the collected data for deadlines, essays, and other information about applications for the Fall of 2008. It seems like there have been new threads about each school when they announce info. In an effort to make this information easy to find please post any application information here.

To keep it fairly organized please keep it to information applications and not discussion about specifics. I am sure the schools will all have threads of their own this fall so feel free to start them.

That is interesting indeed... [#permalink]
I think this part of the essays is the most interesting I've seen among all the b-schools I have researched so far.

To a certain extent, asking for not only a free content but also a somehow free format gives the same competitive advantage to applicant profiles, as it is all about creativity...

Chicago have kind of taken a twist on the NYU Stern creative essay.

That question will lure some people into powerpoint frenzy (I would likely as well as I have done full match reports with animation in PPoint).

Having read these earlier in the day, I think powerpoint is being used as a restrictive format for submissions. I don't think powerpoint itself is the point of this at all.

That has replaced the short essays on books and things that were the reflective part of your character. I disagree with the consultant advice at accepted that the second essay is a real chance to show the other side of your character. Essay 2 is a big second-reason to let me in. The powerpoint is the characterful free for all.

That is one hard application.
