Columbia (Accelerated MBA Program)
Rochester
Thunderbird (Thanks to patrickpui for pointing out Thunderbird)
York
INSEAD (or late December)
IMD
Melbourne Business School
Australian Graduate School of Management

This list is not intended to be exhaustive. Additions are welcome.

ISB begins in April.
Queen's MBAST program begins in May
Western Ontario (Ivey) has a program that starts in May

Columbia (Accelerated MBA Program)

I tried to find the class profile of Jan intake at Columbia..Couldnt find it..on their website..

Is it as competitive as their Sep intake??

Is it worth the risk to forgo an internship for a brand Name like columbia..

Out of all the Ultra-Elites why Columbia choose to have a Jan intake ..any historical reasons for that...

Any inputs much appreciated..

Hi there,

Are there general advantages/disadvantages to Jan intake? Or is it specific to each program and the individual?

I think the biggest disadvantage is probably the fact that you can not do a summer internship (atleast I know that to be true for Rochester and Columbia)

I guess the advantage would be flexibility for people strapped for time who need to begin in January so that they do not have to wait until September

Moreover, it's better suited for people who are returning to family business, plan to stay on in their field of study, or have a strong network already

Any program which starts in Jan.. just like Columbia in USA? except for Rochester
