Schools Applied so for: UChicago
Schools accepted:UChicago
Preparation:
Unfortunately, I didn't get a whole lot of time to prepare for the application. I was very busy at work, later on went to hawaii for a vacation
. Finished all the essays on a saturday before the dead line. Got them edited by two other people (my brother and my wife). Obtained two rec letters each from a co-worker and my former advisor at school.
Completed the application on 6/11/05, interviewed on 6/14/05 at 6:00PM at Gleacher center in the downtown campus. Interviewer goes by the name "Ten". Interview went ok. Usual questions such as "why you want to do MBA" "why now" "tell me about yourself" etc and nothing really fancy. For the most part my answers were consistant with what I had written in my essays. Interviewer told me usually they get about 5000 interview requests and they have around 105 admissions per year. That kind of freaked me out. Anyway, two days after the interview when I checked my messages I had a wonderful message from the associate dean informing that my application has been accepted for admissions!.
Future plan: Uncertain
I just want to thank you all for your support. You all are like a family to me. I hope and wish every one of you to get into top school of your choice. One tip for your application essays is that be truthful and pour your heart out in words. Please don't hesitate to contact me if I could be of any assistance.
MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU ALL
Thanks
Praveen.
