- Are Tests representative of the GMAT?
- Many customers do find a good correlation between the percentile scores of our tests and the GMAT. The consensus amongst our customers is that our tests are most useful for students looking for a 48+ in Quantitative. However, we do not go out of our way to claim that our tests are like the GMAT. The intent is to challenge you with difficult questions and help you become aware of your weaknesses.
- Are Tests adaptive?
- No. The Tests are not adaptive at the moment; however, they are structured in an increasing difficulty pattern to best mimic your final GMAT experience. We need to have more test takers to develop the adaptive Tests. We will probably be able to do that in the future.
- What is the percentile score based on?
- Only the absolute score matters in determining the percentile. Two people answering the same number of questions correctly regardless of the difficulty level will have the same percentile score. Some tests were taken by very few people, which results in the 99th or even the 100th percentile for those who score higher than the latest highest scorer. In short, the fewer people took the test the more chances one has to get very high percentile score.
- For how long can I access the Tests after the purchase?
- The Tests are available at any time after the purchase date. You get the lifetime access.
- Who wrote the Test questions?
- The questions are a product of a collaborative effort of many GMAT Club members, and bear a GMAT Club copyright.
- How do I access the Tests?
- Through the online interface. You may use the practice questions for free.
- How can I pay?
- Payments are processed by PayPal and are secure. You can use your PayPal account or a regular credit card.
- How quickly will you activate my access to Tests?
- INSTANTLY after the payment. Should there be any problems, please contact our support.
- When will there be another Test Event?
- This is not currently planned. While Tests started as real-time events when hundreds of participants took the test in real time and then compared their rankings, GMAT Club abandoned the practice because of the technical and administrative difficulties. We may resume the events later if there is sufficient user and sponsor interest.
