Given that$n$ is a positive two-digit integer, then$n$ equals 24 (recall that 3! = 6, 4! = 24, and 5! = 120, so only 24 is a two-digit integer equal to a factorial of a number). Thus,$ (x - 1)! =24$ , which gives$ x - 1 =4$ , and finally$ x =5$ .

Writing down my thought process for solving this qs-
Arrange the numbers in an ascending order- 4,5,6,7,9 and x (which could be anywhere)
Important note- Nowhere does the qs say that all the numbers are integers. This will help later.
We need to find the median of the set.

Option analysis-
1. if x>7, the order can be anything like-
4,5,6,7,x,9 or 4,5,6,7,9,x
I dont care about where x is, if I know it is greater than 7, since I can find out the median- viz the middle 2 values, which in either case will be 6 and 7
So sufficient

2. If the median equals the mean,
(31+x)/6 = median
Now I dont know for sure if x is an integer. It may or may not be, the qs doesnt specify.
So if x is on either ends- there is surely a possibility of getting median equal to the mean.
Thus not sufficient.

A's speed 12 pages per minute. Total minutes reqd = 1200 / 12 = 100 mins
B's speed 7 pages per minute . Total minutes reqd = 1200/ 7 = 171 3/ 7 mins.
C's speed 19 pages per minute = 1200/ 19 = 63 3/ 19 mins

A's cost = 1200 * 9 = 9600 cents = 96 dollar . Now add 60$ for the attendant's cost because it crossed 60 mins hence double to 30 $. Hence total for A = 96+ 60 = 156 dollar
B's cost = 1200 * 5 = 6000 cents = 60 dollar . B's total = 60 + 30*3 = 150 dollar
C's cost = 1200*11= 132 dollar ; Obviously it will exceed A and B.

Lowest is of B which is 150 dollar. D is the answer.

The point is that if the units digits of a number is 2, the units digit of that number divided by 2 won't always be 1, it could also be 6. For example, 22/2 = 11 but 12/2 =6.

A makeshift way of doing this could be to check for the multiple of 11, when we multiply 11 by 9, we get 99, which shows us that if october has 10 births, the 11 left could all have 9 (since there is no rule which states it cannot) and therefore we can adjust a few numbers to make a total of 100, however when we only deduct 8 & 9 from 100, we are left with 7 & 8 which give 77 and 88, which do not add up to a 100 in the best case scenario.

Exactly if 3 robberies happened in last 7 months as of effective 10 th April , then the first robbery should have taken place in october and then after 60 days second robbery happened so that should be december , That's when according to store manager the alarm systerm was installed. I think his answers are wrong majority of time and there is no clear cutexplanation

Is the below thought process correct?

If we select the 3 pumpin puree cans in the first 3 chances - the probability for the same is

3/10 * 2/9 * 1/8 * 7/7 = 1/120

But the above can be selected in 4 different ways (as the non-pumpkin puree jar can be seleted as first, second or third as well), so

1/120 * 4 = 1/30

Thus, Option B

Isn't "Crude Oil Production" different from "Energy production (in BTUs) by Crude Oil"? The third questions seems to assume that the 15% drop can be attributed to the "Production" side of things as well....
