How many ways can a committe of three be made from a pool of 5 male candidates and 3 female candidates if there is to be at least 1 male?

please show work

I would say 55

Total possible committees: 8*7*6/(2*3)=56
Number of committees with no males: 1
Total committees= 56-1=55

8C3 - 3C3 => (8 * 7) - 1 = 56 -1 = 55

Just to say that in my actual GMAT exam, I got a similar "committee" question. If you reach the high 40s, you better know your probability/combination concepts well.
