Only A maintains parallelism.

B. 'was injured...while being discharged' is incorrect
C. 'and was injured...and discharged...being' awkward
D. 'Simpson injured three times and was discharged' is incorrect
E. 'having been'..'being' is incorrect

(A) for me, too.

(D) is wrong since we need "was" in front of "injured".

A is the best choice. Maintains parelleism also.

B and C are awkward

D implies that Deobrah Sampson has injured someone.
E Two pariciple should not be used in asentence.
