Just wanna mutter,
I was aiming to apply for PhD in Finance Program at Top school, but now I have no chance because of the irresponsible program director here.
The story is that, one of the course lecturer carelessly marked our paper and gived me only 57% for the assignment. I approached him asking what was wrong in my paper, and he replied me something really irrational. I then had a discussion with the program director showing to him that the course lecturer misunderstands the point. He saw my point, but said that my paper was suffered from my poor grammer and confirmed that the 57% is fair !!!
After requesting for the investigation for more than 3 months, I just figured out why the program director so much protects the course lecturer - HE IS DOING HIS PHD UNDER SUPERVISING OF THAT COURSE LECTURER!! Obviously, this is a kind of conflict of interest.
This program director has a very convincing personality that he could persuade the University to recruit him to be the MSc Finance program director, even though he doesn't have any degree in Finance or Economics. Moreover, he has only bachelor degree!! All he has is CFA certificate and some work experience. It is weird that the University accepted this normal guy (no honour, no finance & econ background) to be a PhD student, and even more weird that recruited him to be the program director of the Master in Finance Program.
All in all, it is my stupidity that didn't carefully check the profiles of the lecturers here. Just wanna let you guys know, if anyone wanna apply for this school - please warn them
