Dear GMATCLub Members
As you reach your final weeks of prep, you might find it overwhelming to go back and look over the problems that you did wrong or had trouble understanding. Our short term memory surely helps us to understand errors, but if you are prepping for more than a month, its easy to forget those. I faced this problem and had to struggle to maintian an error log on paper.
So, I wanted to implement a system where you can have Error Logs right here on GMATClub. Write your errors here and you wont have to go back and search for the problems.
This forum will be visible only to YOU. You will have your own forum.
Criteria
- you need to have atleast 100 posts on GMATClub. but i am not going to be very strict about it. if you can committ that you will have atleast 100 posts, we will consider it. But you need to sure that you can stick to that committment. We hope you will appreciate that we have 5000+ members and thus cannot offer a forum for everyone
The advantages
- its your personal log on the web. no need to spend time writing down Sentence correction, CR's or MATH questions. This is especially beneficial if you find the questions on the internet.
- No body else can see your log. you can verify the anonymity of your forum by visiting our forums as a guest. (that is, dont sign in )
- You can organize the content better. you can easily make comments for yourself and write a small tip or two.
- You can copy paste the stuff right off the forum. you will save time there
- Instant access from anywhere you have internet access.
- It will be a great help in your final one or two weeks. you can just go over the list of questions that you found difficult.
- Its free :-D
We hope you like this idea. Send in your requests or reply to this message. I will approve it after verification
Regards
Praetorian

Hi Praet,
I'd like very much to utilize this error log. I haven't posted 100 messages since inception, but I post a few each day this point forward. Thanks for your consideration. I look forward to hearing from you. AC

Dear Allycat
Thank you for your reply. I am adding your forum to GMATClub. Remember, its your own forum and its anonymous. None of the regular members can see it.
My request: The only reason we did not put a strict 100 post requirement is that we do not want to hinder anyone's GMAT preparation. Our only request is that you contribute here as much as possible (Atleast 100 posts).

Please sign me in for error log. I am going to contribute 100 posts. Is there a time frame for the 100 posts? How should I do my error log? Is there any best outline or best style that you have seen?

Ok.. kath... i wll set one up for you. we would prefer that your reach 100 at your earliest. We might find it difficult to ask others to implement the same thing if the exisiting members using the log do not have 100 already. I am confident that you will find our forums a fun place to be, where there are lively discussions and interesting solutions to every problem posted.
When you participate here or when you practise, you will get some problems wrong. Over time, one tends to lose track of problems that you did wrong or concepts that you didnt get right the first time. you can simply write the problems down on this forum , make notes for yourself and organize it the way you want. the forum gives you a reliable way of recording your thoughts on-the-fly without having to scribble notes on paper that you wont understand later anyway.
this would be especially useful , when you find stuff on the internet. you can simply copy paste it in your own forum. and since you have exclusive access to the forum, you can feel comfortable about writing comments for yourself and making notes about the problems.
Please feel free to post any problem on our forums. No GMAT problem is too easy or too hard at GMAT Club. If you are willing to work hard on your GMAT and beyond, I am confident that our members can help. Take advantage of the expertise of the members and share your expertise too.
Good Luck
Praet
