Hey, I have a GMAT Score of 670 (Q-49, V-33) Classic Gmat format. I am currently working in one of leading Management Consulting firms and will have around 4.5 years of experience by September 2025. I have 9.08 CGPA, have published research papers in very reputed journals as well, and have a strong Social Service and Volunteering experience as I am leading the Social Impact Interest Group of my Organization for the past 2 years. I am planning to apply in Europe. Which Business Schools will you suggest me to apply to? I want to get into Traditional Consulting/ Project Management roles after doing MBA.

Hey there @s_j_2510

A 670 GMAT score (Q49, V33) is a solid foundation for your European MBA applications in September 2025, especially with your upcoming 4.5 years of experience at a leading consulting firm.

Here are some European business schools you could consider:

Schools with strong consulting placements: INSEAD (France), London Business School (UK), HEC Paris (France), IE Business School (Spain), SDA Bocconi (Italy).

Project Management focus: Rotterdam School of Management (Netherlands), ESCP Business School (multiple European locations), Manchester Business School (UK).

Your research publications and social impact leadership experience add a unique dimension to your profile. However, to provide a more tailored recommendation on specific schools and how to strengthen your application further, a deeper dive is needed.

We offer a 1:1 free profile evaluation call; during the call, we can analyze your background in detail, suggest the best schools for your goals, and create a personalized application strategy. This includes crafting a compelling narrative, highlighting your strengths, and optimizing your application.

Hey @atomicax

I hope you are doing good. You’re on track to build a strong profile for your investment banking aspirations with target schools like LBS MFA, LSE MFin, Oxford MFE, and Imperial MFin.

You’ve built a profile that shines brightly for your investment banking goals! Graduating from BITS Pilani and scoring a phenomenal 740 GMAT establish a strong academic foundation with top-notch quantitative skills – exactly what these programs seek.

Your dedication to finance is evident through your finance minor, online certifications, and crushing the CFA Level 1 exam at the 90th percentile! Furthermore, the 5-month internship at UBS Group in finance provides valuable experience, while your additional startup experience showcases your initiative. Rounding out your profile is your commitment to social responsibility through 3 years of volunteering and active club participation, demonstrating well-rounded leadership qualities.

LSE and Oxford MFin programs often have higher average GPAs (around 8/10). However, your impressive GMAT score can significantly compensate. Additionally, your finance-focused coursework, certifications, and relevant work experience can further demonstrate your capabilities in lieu of a slightly lower GPA.

To get a more detailed picture of your competitiveness and suggest specific strategies for each program, a deeper dive into your profile would be beneficial. We offer free 1:1 profile evaluation calls where we can analyze your background in detail and provide tailored advice on strengthening your application.

Hey, s_j_2510,

With your strong background in management consulting, excellent academic performance, and robust GMAT score, you are well-positioned to apply to several prestigious business schools in Europe. Your commitment to social service and leadership in your organization’s Social Impact Interest Group further enhances your profile, making you a compelling candidate for programs that value diverse experiences and a strong sense of social responsibility.

Business Schools in Europe to Consider:

- INSEAD (France/Singapore) - Known for its intense one-year program and strong global orientation, INSEAD is a top choice for students aiming to excel in international consulting roles. Your GMAT score is around the average for INSEAD, and your strong consulting background and leadership in social impact could help differentiate your application.

-London Business School (UK) - LBS could offer you an excellent network and career opportunities in these fields. Your academic credentials and professional experience would be highly valued here.

- HEC Paris (France) - Renowned for its expertise in producing leading figures in the consulting world, HEC Paris would be an excellent match for your career goals. The school also places a significant emphasis on candidates who bring strong international and leadership perspectives, aligning well with your profile.

- IESE Business School (Spain)—The case-method teaching style would also allow you to leverage your consulting background effectively. Given your leadership in social initiatives, IESE could be particularly appealing.

Application Strategies:

Highlight Your Leadership in Social Impact: Given your role in the Social Impact Interest Group, emphasizing work, changes made, and any of your achievements in this area could strongly resonate with business schools that are increasingly prioritizing social responsibility and ethical leadership.

Leverage Your Consulting Experience: Showcase your consulting projects, the skills you’ve developed, and how these experiences prepare you for post-MBA roles.

Research Fit: Look into each program’s culture, curriculum, and post-MBA employment trends to ensure that the schools align with your personal and professional goals. Tailoring your application to reflect this fit can greatly enhance your chances of admission.

With a well-crafted Essay that highlights your strengths and aligns with each school’s culture and values, you should be a competitive candidate for these top European MBA programs.

I hope this helps!
Cheers!

Hey, skargmat,

According to the official GMAC website, when you send your GMAT score to a program, the school will receive only the score of the appointment you had selected to send. However, if you retake the exam, the schools you had previously selected will not receive the score unless you choose to send it to them. Once your GMAT score report is ready, you will receive an email notifying you that your official score report is available to be sent to schools.

I hope this helps!
Cheers!

Hey, atomicax,

Thank you for your Question!

Regarding your Profile Evaluation, your CGPA is slightly below the typical minimum for Oxford and LSE, but this is compensated by your strong GMAT score, which is well above average and should help mitigate concerns regarding academic performance. Additionally, BITS Pilani’s reputation as a top-tier university adds considerable weight to its academic credentials. The completion of CFA Level 1 with a score in the 90th percentile is particularly impressive and directly relevant to your intended field of study, which enhances your profile significantly.

Furthermore, your internship experiences offer practical insights into the financial sector and showcase your ability to apply academic knowledge in real-world settings, aligning perfectly with your goal of breaking into investment banking.

Recommendations:

When submitting your applications, make sure to highlight any leadership roles you held and emphasize your hands-on experience in the finance sector through your internships.

Extracurricular Activities and Leadership: Your involvement in an NGO or contribution to club leadership should be highlighted significantly. Make sure to weave a great narrative around them to demonstrate strong leadership skills and a commitment to community service. These activities not only show your ability to work collaboratively but also your initiative and drive, qualities that are highly valued in potential candidates.

Personal Statement: Craft a compelling personal statement that connects your past experiences with your future ambitions. Clearly articulate how each target program specifically aligns with your career goals and how you plan to contribute to the program.

Chances of Admission:

LBS MFA and Imperial MFin: Your chances are strong, given your profile, GMAT score, and relevant work experience.
LSE MFin and Oxford MFE: More competitive due to the CGPA requirements, but your strong GMAT and CFA performance, along with professional experiences, should make a compelling case for your candidacy.

Overall, while there are challenges, particularly with the CGPA for Oxford and LSE, your profile is competitive. It’s crucial to effectively communicate your readiness and fit for each program, underscoring your quantifiable successes and future potential in investment banking.

I hope this helps!
Cheers!

Besides other responses, please note 685 in GFE is now lower than 710 in Classic; 685 GFE is actually higher and equates to 740 in Classic.

Hey guys, on the GMAT Day I had met a person named Anushri, and she told me about how she was finding it hard to prepare with a local preparation academy. I couldn’t reply right then as I got busy and went to sleep after. And the next day when I checked it to reply, the airmeet platform, and all the the chats had gotten removed. I tried to find her on here but I couldn’t because I don’t know her name/user. So I’m just gonna post a video link I think would be helpful for her here and hope she finds it.

Hi, everyone,

In this GMAT experience talk show, we talk to Tavishi, a young MBA aspirant from India who recently scored 725 in her latest GMAT Focus exam. It’s a 99.9 percentile score on the new GMAT Focus edition and she achieved this feat in her first GMAT attempt. Tavishi faced many problems in her GMAT prep as many other test-takers; She wasn’t able to study long hours due to her demanding work schedule; she would often lose interest after studying for a day or two; she would rush through the test for lack of time management, sacrificing accuracy. She eventually overcame these challenges, made significant improvements in her preparation & practicing strategies, made the most of the Magoosh GMAT course she had purchased and faced her actual GMAT attempt with full confidence and scored 725. In this podcast, we talk to Tavishi and try to understand her GMAT journey in her own words.

Hi, deciding whether you need a 2nd MBA is a complex decision. These are some of the common scenarios in which a candidate is likely to pursue a 2nd MBA 1. Unsatisfied with Job: The candidate has been working in the same domain for a long time. The learning curve has flattened, and no new challenges are foreseeable in the next two years. Staying longer in their current career path risks pigeonholing them, making it harder to break out. 2. First School Doesn’t Have a Strong Brand: The candidate wants to launch career at a global level, but the first MBA’s brand is weak and cannot get them the opportunities they deserve. The first MBA did not provide them with the opportunity to gain global exposure or the benefit of an experienced peer group. They want to leverage a second MBA for all of these. 3. Desire for Change in Function/Role, Industry, or Geography: The candidate wants to change at least two out of the three 4. Academic Appreciation: They did the first MBA too early without any or much relevant work experience. Now, after gaining substantial experience, there is clarity regarding subjects and specializations that will provide more value to them based on their future goals. The way you structured your query, the answer is a ’yes’ be default.

Hello, I am currently preparing for GMAT and I am looking for a peer group for discussion. I believe it is helpful in preparation. Hit me up on personal chat in case anyone is interested. I am planning to give the exam in July.

Hello all, I need to ask a question. I am a professor of Mathematics. I teach quantitative part of GMAT and GRE since 2004 in Egypt. I need to know platforms in US or Europe that I can offer GMAT courses via them. Thank you in advance.

Hi, I have a query are these online self prep courses like TTP are not sufficient enough for our prep? Do we need to supplement our prep with Manhattan books too, as suggested by most of the Gmat aspirents or the experts. Just a random query if anyone could address it.

TTP, like other similarly-rated courses, is considered very inclusive of all materials needed. If you’re still struggling, I’d focus on where and hire a tutor or ask your provider (TTP) for assistance on that topic

Thank you for so much your response, Evan! I have raised this query because every student on the club whether they join TTP or any other online prep course would supplement their prep with Manhattan books. I was quite skeptical about all this why they are doing so? Is it recommended by the experts? Well, in my case I am quite satisfied with TTP course and my TTP Experts who are always there to help me and sail through the storm of my prep journey.

This would depend on your profile, round, waitlist position, etc. Some strategies to consider while you’re on the waitlist are here: https://admitstreet.com/blog/business-s ... -waitlist/
