To our new friends here
I wanted to talk about how to use the GMAT Club forum to your advantage.
Obviously, this forum works best when you, the member, posts his or her difficulties /questions here and other members come forward to help. Try switching roles from time to time... Post your problems and try to help others with their problems.
Lets say you spend 5 hours every week on GMAT Club forums. This is how you should manage your time.
1. Spend 30% of your time here posting YOUR problems, YOUR questions.. remember, solving others questions correctly all the time does not mean you are not having any prep difficulties. Sure, you might not have major problems that you need help. Yet, its always good to know if there is another method, a better , faster way of solving a problem. So, for example, if you had trouble with a problem, but still got to the right answer by divine intervention, you should still consider posting it here.
2. Spend 70% of your time here answering others questions. This will help you to maintain the intensity of your prep. Again, by solving others problems, you also get familiar with how others solve questions and what kind of strategies they use.
Either way, you are helping your cause.
Apart from that, you should consider participating in our challenges. Its again a good way to keep track of your progress, atleast in Quant for now.
Welcome to the Club.
Sincerely
Praetorian
