I have been a silent reader of this forum.
Anyway, here's something about me and my experience. I am considerably older than most of the other members. I am 33. I had wanted to do my MBA a long time ago, but had been through a painful divorce before.
I did my B.S. in India, M.S. in the US and have worked for 10years in the telecom field. I am a program manager now in the bay area.
I am married again and my wife encouraged me to fulfill my ambitions.
I studied only for 3 weeks and took the test last week as my job is demanding.
Did both
OG tests and 4 Kaplan tests. My reflexes are slower at my age than they were before.
Math is considerably more difficult in the GMAT exam than in either of the two books. I actually ran out of time before answering question 37 (last one) in Math - did not even have time to guess. In none of the practice tests, I felt, were questions so intense.
Verbal was somewhat tricky, but I felt I did better in verbal than I did in Math.
I did NOT study for AWA at all.
I was expecting only 650 after completing the tests, but I am happy to report that I got 710.
I am planning to do an executive MBA. Will keep you all posted.
Thanks for maintaing such a great forum.
