Even for merit based scholarship, one has to apply through the scholarship application email that the interviewees received?

No I don’t think so did not see any specific merit based scholarships with essays on the portal. However, people who are to be awarded merit based scholarship will be given by 30th May only as well along with others. That is just my assessment of the situation.

Hi, is anyone applying in round 3 which is in June?

I am applying to Round-3

Is there any shortcoming of applying in R3 vs R2?

All things being equal earlier is better *but things never are* - if you need an internship apply Jan intake. Also, just take the time to develop a competitive application vs submitting something half-baked. Application quality is a greater driver of the outcome than timing.

arahim - it's better to submit a stronger application than rushing it up in an earlier round. You could also consider applying early (R1) to the Aug intake. Key differences between the Jan and Aug intakes are here. Would like to understand better your work-ex, career goals, and overall profile to advise better. Feel free to reach out.
