Hi
whomstmdYour profile showcases a diverse set of experiences and achievements, highlighting your strengths in both professional and extracurricular realms. With a GMAT score of 710 and a GPA of 3.0 from a Canadian university, coupled with your impressive 7 years of experience in luxury residential real estate, you've already laid a solid foundation for your future endeavours. However, it's understandable to feel apprehensive about your GMAT score due to test anxiety. While your score is competitive, considering a retake could potentially open up opportunities for higher-ranked schools. If you decide to retake the GMAT, dedicating time to study new materials to overcome test anxiety could prove beneficial.
Your extracurricular involvement, particularly in organizing a running event for charity and your past leadership roles in university clubs, demonstrates your ability to excel outside of the professional sphere. This diverse skill set will undoubtedly be an asset as you transition into a new career.
Your target schools, ranging from Rotman and Western Ivey in Canada to schools like Columbia, NYU, and Yale in the USA, and INSEAD and LBS in Europe are good targets. My understanding (based on our past success with student application) about these targets is as follows
Rotman: Very probable with a scholarship
Ivey: Very probably (might get a a scholarship)
Columbia, NYU, Yale, INSEAD and LBS: All ambitious but POSSIBLE. A re-attempt of GMAT might enhance your chances Given your ultimate goal of transitioning into a tech PM role, it's essential to leverage your proven passion for technology and your previous experiences in the field. Highlighting your technical skills, such as computer building and programming, along with your project management abilities, will strengthen your candidacy for tech-focused programs.
But you should think about why an MBA and why NOT a Masters in PM?In summary, while your profile is already impressive, considering a GMAT retake and strategically highlighting your tech background and leadership experiences will further enhance your candidacy for top-tier business schools. Best of luck on your journey towards achieving your career aspirations!
Will be happy to assist you further in case you need any help!
