Urgent: Help me!! European MBA - HEC vs Oxbridge [#permalink]
bb

Thank you for the quick response.

To be honest I care more about the outcome and how much the school's name and opportunities/resources at the school will help me. I think I will enjoy both the college system (regardless if its only 12 month) at Cambridge or the campus experience at HEC in France. They are both on par to me.

Scholarship isn't too large from HEC but I geuss better than none from Cambridge. I'm ethnically from South Korea and male so I only qualified for excellence scholarship which was 25k.

With regards to the alumni, I checked and HEC alumni is slightly older and larger than Judge Business School BUT Cambridge as a uni is larger with a network from master/undergrad so hard to quantify it here.

I would say based in personal experience of trolling my universities alumni network, i’m getting into the nitty-gritty, the undergrad network is pretty weak even if it’s an amazing university with amazing people, but the time they get into a position where they would be a valuable connection to you, it has been 10 years since they graduated and their connection to the universities we they would be from a different school and wouldn’t have emotion common send other words I would say that’s the least valuable component usually. However maybe the college system plays I roll there but you would be kind of limited to your college group. HEC has a very very strong masters program that is stronger than the NBA but don’t count on overlap too much because again you’re different background and don’t share as much in common besides being a part of a 20,000 person university. That’s not super exclusive.

If you want to look at your job outcomes, you wanna look at on campus recruiting.

I would also contact the alumni, not students but alumni who are potentially in the positions that you want to take. And ask them for their opinion. Make them a part of your decision and that way in a year or two when you’re looking for a job, You can leverage your connection And it would be A lot easier to ask for help if they had been involved in recommending the program to you so they would feel a little bit more responsible in case you’re stuck without a job or at least sympathetic how about that 😇

The best suggestion I can give you this moment is ping on linked in five alums from both programs and see how many respond and how helpful they are. That will be a reflection of your future future.
