Can anyone explain why E is wrong?
If "The students can not read well enough to study history and science", this assumption will weaken the conclusion, otherwise, it will strengths the conclusion, isn't it?

The argument did not mention anything about the level of reading skills imparted by the new program. It could be that the new advantage program is not sufficient to impart the reading skills required for Science and history.

Hi E is wrong because even if the student do not read well , its fine .. they are still getting enough practice to read and get better. he conclusion is not about being capable of comprehending but to practice . Even if you negate the option you get ---- the students can not read well enough to study /understand history or science , but our conclusion is about practice and not how well the students can read/comprehend. Our conclusion still stands as reading will still improve the reading skills of the students.

Hope it makes sense.

Best !

Hey. I was having a hard time eliminating E since it also suggests that taking on the new verbal program is unnecessary. However, I can now see that there are extra assumptions we will have to make in order to prove that reading skills are sufficient ENOUGH to dump the idea of this program.
