I had worked with other consultants before in previous application cycles, and a specific thing I was looking for while choosing a consultant was someone who didn't have a hands-off approach to my application. Since I had a low GPA and a slightly above-average GMAT/GRE, most other consultants spoke about how that was my only gap and how I should target Tier 2 schools. But MBA & Beyond totally stood out to me. In our initial meeting, after I shared my profile with them, they returned with a list of specific strengths and gaps with a strategy for addressing each of these in the applications. This put my mind at ease right in the beginning as their logic was convincing, and I knew I wouldn't get any generalised advice. They were willing to be ambitious with me and aim for the best tough programs.

MBA & Beyond has an excellent content-gathering portal that makes you dig deep and write down the stories you would use in essays. It was unique as they asked the bare minimum questions needed to put forth a good application and understand my context and background. This meant that I didn't spend time filling out a lengthy document that I wouldn't use later in the application. A service that I was highly impressed with was that apart from my consultant, there were at least three people in touch with me from MBA & B to make sure I made good progress at each stage, encouraging me to dig deeper in specific areas.

Rajat Garg was assigned as my consultant. From the beginning, it was clear that he had gone through my content-gathering document in detail which meant we could get started almost immediately. Rajat and MBA&B offered complete support, all the way from selecting my schools to receiving an acceptance. What I appreciated most about working with Rajat was the structure he brought to the whole process. The workload at times seemed overwhelming with the multiple essays and deliverables for each school, but Rajat kept me calm by breaking down the work, bringing clarity to what I was expected to do and giving me the right feedback. He was extremely committed to the process, putting in many odd hours because of the time zone difference to edit essays and help build my profile and story.

MBA & Beyond is the right name for them as they really do go beyond their call of duty, whether it was sharing essay and resume samples for your target schools, getting additional feedback for your essays from other consultants, interview prep with specific feedback, or just being available on call or whatsapp to clear the innumerable doubts that pop up in your mind during the process. They were with me every step of the way.

While a lot of hard work writing essays, building your resume, networking with alumni and school research has to happen from your end, MBA&B is an extremely reliable partner to have in this process. A great sounding board that you can rely on for honest, efficient advice.

As a 41 year old Army Officer with an above average score and a non-technical background, I am the definition of a non-traditional candidate....and guess what...MBA and Beyond had a consultant to meet even my requirements.

For me, selecting a admissions consulting team was about finding someone who had as much faith in my candidature as I did and with MBA and beyond there was an immediate connect. As soon as i took the first call for my profile evaluation with Megha or while working my way through the entire process with Shubham, there was always a personal touch and a willingness to accommodate all my requirements.

The company offers personalised support of an unparalleled magnitude. I was rendered support to navigate my way around the site, adding content on the platform, understanding the nuances of applications and scholarships and even college selection. When required, a call with the CEO was just a few clicks away.

And then of course there is my Consultant, Dr Vinita Singh.

With nearly two decades of experience, it is not possible to find a more mature, balanced, confident and accomplished consultant. Her structured approach to the process and here adherence to deadlines was something that i have come to admire. And that coming from a military veteran should say it all.
She was not just willing to put in more hours than me when required but was also open to disagreements about myriad aspects of my application ranging from college selection to goal setting. She not only accepted an offbeat candidate like me for third round applications for London Business School but she helped me navigate the entire admissions process from preparing the resume to submitting the applications in a span of one week....YES ...ONE WEEK !!!!

So if you want to create magic, look nowhere else.


With the deadline looming around the corner, she cleared all the bureaucratic hurdles which are associated with most consulting platforms to be available on call. During that one week, I didn't need to wait for a response from the company on their portal to schedule a call. She had cleared her entire schedule for a week to support me in my journey. On one occasion, we have interacted for more than 7 hours in one single day. That is the level of commitment and hard work that she brings to the table.

She was forthcoming in sharing sample essays and letters of recommendations from successful candidates from my target colleges and she even connected me with some of her successful candidates in business schools and in the industry. To take it to the next level, she was able to connect me with candidates matching my profile who helped me navigate the entire application and interview process. We went through every word of my application at least thrice before my final submissions on calls lasting over two and half hours at times.

When it came to the interview ,we prepared a range of questions which were not only college specific but also focussed on all facets of my profile. There were no restrictions on the number of mock interviews that i took with her. On one occasion, she even conducted a mock interview at 5:30 AM to meet my requirements. In fact, she even helped me prepare for the Kira Video Interview which was not even a part of the deal. Needless to say, when it came to the actual interview with the college, there was nothing which came as a surprise.

A word of caution here - She is going to make you work really hard. So if you are working with her, be sure to bring your A game to the field.

It has been a privilege to work with MBA and Beyond and with Dr Vinita Singh in particular. I would strongly recommend them to candidates of all domains and profiles.

I chose MBA and Beyond after I had an elaborate profile evaluation call with them. I understood that the fee was fairly high but given the fact that I had no prior experience with application process or how to play to my strengths since I do not come from a quantitative background. But my other option was going with a regular consultancy firm which would simply edit my essays once and that's pretty much it so I went ahead with MBA & Beyond thinking of the fee as an investment.

The process was incredible. I was so confused initially, not knowing where to begin but a team of incredible people was assigned to me with whom I had multiple calls to try to understand my goals and aspirations and select schools that would be best for me and vice versa. I must say, it was enlightening.

The content gathering phase let me discover and remember so much about myself and my career in order to figure out my strengths, weaknesses and achievements that I would not have introspected on my own. This process helped me a lot in terms of boosting my confidence and prep for my interviews as well.

The best part was that I could request as many number of calls and meetings as I needed to write and edit my essays or about any doubts I had along the way.

I applied to 3 schools and got accepted into all with major scholarships. EDHEC with 55%, ESSEC with 30% and Boston College with 60,000 USD.

By the time I appeared for the interviews, I had so much clarity and so much confidence from the multiple mock interviews and discussions that the interviews felt like a breeze.

After looking around at different admissions consultants, I had an initial session with Paridhi. She was very helpful and realistic about what I can expect from the journey and service.

Once I signed up, I started working with Punit who was absolutely fantastic. He helped me finesse my CV and made me look introspectively which enabled me to craft a really powerful representation of myself within my essay. I initially did not have plans to take on an admissions consultant, given the fact that I was applying for the deferred programs, which I perceived to be a non-essential opportunity to try my luck at the applications.

However, MBAB convinced me that this could be a great time for me to apply to the top schools in US, and with that in mind, I began my journey with MBAB.

I kick started my application with a tight timeline in R2 because of retaking GMAT. The call with MBA and Beyond gave me confidence when I was so exhausted with GMAT. The process of "self-discovery" guided me to rethink my stories and the hours' calls with Saagar (my consultant) helped me to choose the most convincing stories for the application.

Saagar and the team helped me streamline the process and, most importantly, helped me in a very efficient and effective way esp interview mocks. This was my first application - Saagar's honest feedback when the essays / interviews mock were not well-prepared and encouragement when we improved helped a lot. I then was able to assess where I was and where I should focus on. The experience also indeed helped me re-discover myself and be reflective as a person.

My focus was on European B Schools and INSEAD in particular and Saagar was one of the only consultants I spoke with that had an in-depth understanding of the nuances of the process in this region. He took time to understand my background, strengths, and goals, and worked with me to narrate a compelling story through my application. After attending numerous rather dull consulting sessions with a variety of MBA consultants, I stumbled upon MBA & Beyond through GMATClub reviews and decided to give it a shot. My initial session with Paridhi was very structured, she spent an hour just to understand my professional/personal journey along and my professional ambitions, instead of just jumping to my GMAT score and shortlisting schools. By the end of the session, Paridhi gave me a realistic list of schools that suited my goal.

The MBA&B journey structure is incredible. They use a comprehensive and systematic information gathering approach where in a candidate is given a list of questions which require a lot of introspection and thought, this not only helps the mentor/consultant to understand the candidate better but also helps the candidate reveal his/her inner qualities.

Post the content gathering stage, The consultant steps in and analyses the information gathered and creates a strategy framework and a timeline to target school applications. My consultant/mentor, Shweta made sure to define target deadlines for all schools - which helped me focus and tackle each application one at a time.

To start an application, the first step was always to co-brainstorm and understand which aspect of my life would fit well in which question and once an approach was finalised, we went on to create a first draft – This approach helped me introspect and detail each aspect of my life without thinking much about the word limit. Once the first draft was ready, the essays would go through numerous live reviews where Shweta would help me in adding new ideas, editing, and redrawing until a final draft would be ready. The thing that stood out the most was that the consultant was never in a hurry to draft an essay, an essay would only be finalised until Shweta and I both agreed on its quality – Irrespective of the number of reviews an essay had been through.

MBA&B follows a very systematic & sophisticated approach with each of their candidates - Their consultants/mentors go out of their way to help you understand yourself and extract an exciting/interesting story out of your life. None of the sessions have cap time limit, the sessions go on till a consensus is reached and both the candidate and mentor are satisfied.

As I just got admitted to INSEAD, I'd like to share my experience with MBA and Beyond that helped me build my application.
MBA&Beyond tool to enter into your 'self discovery' is very well made and really help to dig into your stories, success, failures, goals etc.
The consultant that worked with me, Saagar, really helped me to structure my thoughts and put the best of me into the application. I found it very difficult to respect the word counts of the essays and Saagar has been very helpful to organize my ideas and summarize them in the essays.
Finally, Saagar gave me very useful tools for the interview process and the many mocks we did together put me in the best condition to pass that exercice.
Thanks to MBA&Beyond I not only got my dream school but also learnt a lot about me and how to highlight the best part of my profil and clarify my goals

I took their 1 school package and aimed for my most ambitious school (LBS). They helped me work on my applications and essay by connecting me to an LBS student who was able to provide me with a direction for my essay, we took a good 2-3 months to craft my essay and I got constant assistance. They have a beautiful online platform that helps in introspection, (a 5 on 5). Even though I got a rejection from LBS, I am sure we put our best foot forward and I am at peace with the rejection. They were quick to respond to my queries and even extended additional support when I got interviewed at another school.
