Tyler Cormney and Faisal Khan helped me create the perfect application package. I got into my dream school (Top 5 B-School). They pointed out strengths in my background, which I was not even aware of and guided me to focus on writing about the perfect stories for my essays. Their initial data gathering process is instrumental in making sure your application stands out in a pool of other qualified individuals. They will push you to get the best out of you.

I have an engineering background and they were mindful of ensuring that technical/industry jargon was translated into something that a lay person would understand.

The mock interview conducted as part of the process was very close to the real thing. Tyler made sure that I was articulating my strengths clearly and I used the questions to my advantage.

I highly recommend MBAPrepSchool and specifically Tyler Cormney and Faisal Khan!

I worked with Tyler Cormney extensively during my application cycle for 2014 MBA admissions. I was in a situation where I had to do my application alongside my GMAT. Tyler understood my situation and supported me all along.

I chose to use MBAPrepschool’s complete package and applied to the top schools through Tyler’s help. MBAPrepschool’s online website with various sessions specific to the application cycle proved very useful and thorough. The website allows for revisits to guide through the essay writing process and to help prepare for interviews.

I found Tyler very knowledgeable, his memory and attention to details of his client's stories and application touch points are second to none. I found him very genuine in his approach and found him equally committed to my success in the MBA application process. His advice and tips for writing school specific essays are very effective. He expects you to do your homework on school specific information which in turn reflects your honest and genuine interests on the schools you apply.

Tyler is honest and direct and expects his clients to put in the required hard work necessary to come up with exceptional stories. As a coach, he supports you through the same kind of effort and commitment from his side to present your stories in the best possible way to the admissions committee.

Although, I had great essays through Tyler's continued guidance and my hard work, I was able to apply only in R3 and my GMAT let me down to a certain extent and I was able to gain admissions to some of my safety schools.

I will recommend Tyler to any prospective MBA student looking for a genuine honest coach equally committed to the applicant’s success. With your hard work and Tyler’s expert guidance – success in the MBA application process is one step closer.

I would first like to start by saying that I spoke with 4 different admissions consultants before picking Tyler at the MBA Prep School. From the start Tyler was very knowledgeable and supportive. He helped me with the school selection process, GMAT advice, and the entire application and essay process. Tyler's ability to help his clients define their candidacy and brand is invaluable. So much so that he actually helps you better define your future goals.

Moreover, Tyler's true talent lies in his ability to help you write your admissions essays. He is a true master at helping you tell your story in a way that the schools will love.

I would recommend Tyler and the MBA Prep School to everyone! They are not some big Admissions consulting firm that makes you feel like just another number. They take the time to get to know you and work beside you throughout the entire process.

I started applying to schools this past December. I spent a week trying to decide which admissions consultant to work with. To be honest, it was an easy decision.

I talked to most of the popular and mainstream consulting companies, including MBA Prep School. It was very obvious to me how different MBA Prep School's approach was to the admissions process than the other companies. I was floored by the overall attention to detail and level of organization and structure.

My honest advice to all those on the fence about choosing to work with an admissions consultant, is to go ahead and schedule the free 30 minute call that most of them offer. It is essential for you to get a feel of the process, and I can guarantee that you will not get as thorough a rundown or breakdown of the process, or as much value from that 30 minute call, than from MBA Prep School.

I chose to work with Tyler Cormney because of all the positive reviews he had on this site. It was a bit of a gamble, because I was very skeptical and I was investing a lot of money. I worked with Tyler to apply to 3 different schools: Rice, Duke and UT. The reason we chose these schools was because my GMAT was very low at the time: 620.

I found that Tyler is incredibly gifted at editing and helping others to craft their stories. He would always challenge me to produce top work and to trust the process first and foremost. I have to say, that following the process in such a detailed and organized manner, made the admissions process so much more achievable and easier to digest.

One of the beauties of working with Tyler is that you pretty much just have to fill in the blanks, and marvel as how your story starts to unfold. In other words, if you put in the work you will reap the rewards, and Tyler will guide you along the way. He truly teaches you how to think and come across as a top performer by highlighting your particular strengths for each stage of the admissions process: picking schools, crafting your story, doing school research, writing the essays, and interviewing. This might seem easy to do, but Tyler does seem to have a knack for helping you to convey yourself as an overall well rounded candidate, and also guides you to express your unique voice.

I have to say, that I would have not been able to get into to Duke without having worked with Tyler. This is not to diminish my merits, but I was truly lost before starting to apply for schools and was so overwhelmed and stressed by having to retake the GMAT. Tyler knew that I had very little time to finish the applications, under a month, so he readjusted my schedule so we could get the work done in time. Tyler was very fast and prompt when giving feedback and he helped calm my nerves more than once. But above all, I would say what I truly liked about working with Tyler, was that he was extremely honest; at all times I felt he cared about my progress and provided the necessary feedback/input I needed to build my profile adequately.

My results working with Tyler? Got admitted into Duke with a merit scholarship, waitlisted at UT and got admitted to Rice with a sizeable scholarship. If you are a highly qualified individual, working with Tyler would only help you get into the school of your dreams, like he did for me, and you might be able to get a scholarship.

I think Tyler really excels in many areas. The first thing is that he believes in you and can see a compelling story in everyone. While I was researching admissions consultants, I spoke to other consultants who quickly put me in a box and told me which schools were reach, match, and safety, based on taking my resume at face value. In contrast, Tyler saw the potential and stories hidden in my resume and pushed me to stretch myself. His faith in me and ability to look deeper was what convinced me to go with him, despite a higher sticker price than some competing shops.

Tyler is truly what I would call a coach or guide. He has interesting, creative ideas, but he really pushes you to develop your own. He is never prescriptive, and he strongly believes in presenting an authentic view of you. Don't sign up if you are just hoping to have someone tell you what to say. The essays that result after working with Tyler are rich and polished, but also to-the-point. Most importantly, they will be your own, with your unique voice and story.

Lastly, Tyler has a knack for making you feel like you are his only client. He remembers so much, and is very good at accommodating your schedule and needs. He will do what it takes to get the job done, and holds himself to a very high standard.

In the end, I was interviewed at a school that other consultants told me was out of my league, and accepted to two Top 10 schools that other consultants said were "reaches." I give Tyler my highest recommendation, and know that I absolutely made the right choice by choosing him.

I decided to choose Tyler to help me through the admissions process after reading multiple great reviews. I have to say that I have not been disappointed. I had a special case as I recently returned from abroad and went through a very difficult job change. I knew that I wanted to go for an MBA but it was very difficult for me to come up with a coherent and convincing story behind my application. Tyler was very patient, he worked with me tirelessly through the details of my education, career choices and life story. After we started working on my applications Tyler never accepted my essays until they were the absolute best that I could write. I also feel proud that I wrote all of them myself unlike some of my friends who used consultants to write theirs. It was a difficult process but at the end I felt great about the end product and it help me land again on solid feet in my career. I purchased Tyler's 6-school package, I applied to five, and I got admitted to Insead, Oxford Said, and Columbia. I have just been invited to Cornell to interview but as Columbia was my top choice I decided to withdraw my application from Booth and Cornell. Tyler never accepts 90% he will push you to your very limit but also make sure you deliver your very best. He is very patient and will do everything to help you along the way. I feel lucky that I chose Tyler to help me. He made a significant difference for me. Thank you Tyler.
I am starting Columbia in a few months. I can't be more excited!!!!!!!!

My initial conversation with Tyler definitely drew me to MBA Prep School. Unlike other consultations I had, Tyler was honest, forthcoming, and offered a lot of insight all within the free "15 minute call," which extended well beyond 15 minutes.

My consultant Daniel J's years of experience were definitely a plus and I trusted his opinions and suggestions - crucial in working with an MBA consultant. Daniel J was efficient and held nothing back - he was blunt which was exactly what I needed. He went well beyond just reviewing my drafts and instead coached me in starting to think strategically about my application as well as how to write creatively. I enjoyed working with Daniel J very much and will recommend his services to my friends.

I had interviewed a number of different MBA consultants to help with my application and ultimately decided on Chris and MBA Prep School. When we spoke, he came across as knowledgeable, experienced, and I thought our personalities would mesh well. Upon interviewing consultants, I actually think I undervalued this last characteristic, which for me proved to be most constructive in my process.

In addition to all of the prepared modules, videos, and frameworks that he had on his site to help me fill out my application, I found Chris to be most valuable in helping me to think through the purpose behind my application / candidacy, which I felt in the end.

For those who have not applied before, the business school application process can be wrenching not only from a time standpoint, but even more so from an introspection perspective. At least for me, it was the first time in my life where I really spent a ton of time thinking through whether this was something I wanted to commit a lot of time and money to doing. Through the written modules and our weekly conversations, Chris pushed me to dig deep into what mattered most to me, what I truly wanted to be when I grew up, and what experiences I’d had in my life that shaped who I was. It was in doing so that I was best equipped to reinforce my decision to apply and also fill out the best application possible.

After completing this extensive brainstorming marathon, Chris was helpful in picking out what he thought were the best stories and helping me to concatenate them into a cohesive story that formed the basis for my application and subsequent interview. In connection with this, he was able to help me identify the key parts of my story to reinforce during each phase of the process. I have no doubt that my application and candidacy was meaningfully better having worked with Chris and am very grateful for his counsel.

I engaged Tyler Cormney after a friend told me how instrumental Tyler was in his successful application to Stanford GSB. As a military applicant seeking to change career paths, I began the intensive application process with no working knowledge of the business world, and no concrete career goals. With Tyler’s coaching and the resources he created for MBA Prep School, I was able to break up the MBA application process into manageable parts and to establish clear deadlines and a personal work plan.

I appreciated the organized approach, which ensured each aspect of my application received my best effort, and over time I created a cohesive story for the adcoms. This seems basic, but it’s actually an incredibly difficult task when you’re juggling multiple business school applications.

Tyler worked with me through numerous video chat consults and used the step-by-step MBA Prep School plan to gradually bring my career goals into focus. By the time I was ready to draft my essays, I had a career path in mind that I was genuinely excited about. More importantly, I could articulate what I wanted to do, why it was important to me, and how an MBA was necessary to my achieving these career goals.

Tyler's personal character and commitment to my success showed during the essay drafting process. He always told me when an essay topic wasn't working, and advised that we start from scratch. He even helped me to power through when I was feeling a bit burnt out with the writing process. In short, Tyler accepted nothing less than my very best, even though it put him on the hook for many more revisions. Tyler won’t let up until you’ve done it right!

After being invited to interview by Wharton and waitlisted by Harvard, I was accepted and offered a $20K scholarship to the top-ranked MBA program that I will be attending this Fall. Tyler helped me present my very best self in each of my applications, and I doubt I would have received a valuable scholarship from a top 20 program without him. As such, I can confidently say that Tyler added value to my applications far in excess of what it cost to hire him. This process, though challenging and even painful at times, enabled me to discover my true career goals and develop an actionable plan to achieve them. I highly recommend Tyler to others, especially non-traditional and fellow military MBA applicants like myself!

Just thought I would share my experiences working with Alex Leventhal at MBAPrepSchool.

Coming from an engineering background and not having many friends who had applied to b-school, I knew that I really wanted a consultant to help guide me through the process. I contacted at least half a dozen admission consulting firms, but each time was disappointed in that I felt that either I was being handed off to a junior consultant, or I found myself in the middle of a spiel/sales pitch. Alex Leventhal was actually the last consultant I spoke to, and he instantly stood out. It was quite clear that he was experienced, smart and passionate, but at the same time didn’t feel the need to BS - he was realistic and honest in talking about my strengths, weaknesses and school choices.

I started off with a 4 school package, and was happy enough that I added another school later down the road. I ended up being admitted to 4 schools including my first choice INSEAD. Working with Alex was great and well-structured. We spent a good deal of time working on the foundation – background, leadership stories and career plans. I was quite amazed how creative the application turned out and how well we were able to connect the dots. We talked on Skype at least every week or whenever I needed to chat, and I found him to be quick (usually within 1-2 days) in turning around essay drafts.

Personally, what stood out most about Alex was that he was sincere and highly involved throughout the process. I have a natural tendency to over think and always critique the quality of my product. So many a times, I would be requesting Alex to review and edit the 6th or 7th drafts of an essay – he did so without question and was always helpful. However, he also kept me focused, and made sure that I was moving on when I went a bit overboard!

I would highly recommend Alex Leventhal. He knows what he’s talking about, and is really going to be working hard to get you to the b-school of your choice.
