Rhyme, great profile. But I don't get it - why aren't stanford and wharton in your list?
Stanford seems like a long shot given my undergrad GPA. Frankly, I don't see that much value in Stanford over HBS or KGSM.
Wharton isn't on my list for no particular reason other than triage. I'm most interested in KGSM, HBS, CHICAGO - and then I need something down the middle in terms of likelyhood of accepts (Cornell) and what I would consider more of a backup school (Georgetown).
6 apps is a ton of work as it is. I'm only going to get HBS, KGSM, CHICAGO in for their R1s, and Cornell will have to drop to R2. Georgetown's R1 is so far out - December - that I'll make that as well, but in my mind it's part of my R2 list. Yale will end up R2.
If, once I'm in R2's, I find that I can squeeze in more than 3 more, I'll go for a fourth - but I have a feeling completing GSB, Cornell, Yale and Georgetown in time will be a significant enough effort to run me through the R2 deadlines.
As much as I'd like to apply to other schools, there is a limit to what I can complete in time - and have a quality application. If I can squeeze in another, maybe I'll go for Wharton R2, but right now, I'm more concerned about my upcoming deadlines than which schools I decide to try for in R2.
If I were to add a seventh right now, I'd probably pick Ross. Great school, good accept rates - competitive - but not so competitive that I don't stand a chance.
