Marcela Pipitone Rodrigues Reviews

Company: Admissionado

Marcela loves diverse experiences!

She started her career at a top management-consulting firm, founded an e-commerce start-up and, for the last 2.5 years, has been a partner at a Hedge Fund. She is both a workaholic, up all night toiling away on her next big project, and an avid explorer who’s traveled virtually all over the world since leaving her hometown of Sao Paulo, Brazil. She is a voracious reader who loves Vargas Llosa, but can still delight in reading Harry Potter.

Her interests include (in no particular order): The Chinese economy, popular music, tidbits from the 80s, Brazil’s social problems and MBA applications! Oh, and she received her MBA from Harvard Business School in 2009 where she just so happened to meet the love of her life.

Great Waitlist Services

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by membership [?]

After I was waitlisted at a school in round 2, I reached out to Admissionado to leverage their services for navigating the waitlist. Marcela was extremely useful for identifying the weaknesses in my application and helping me create a plan to address those weaknesses. What impressed me the most about Admissionado was Marcela's very detailed feedback and quick response times. I felt very looked after throughout the entire process and welcomed from the start, a feeling that I did not have with other MBA consultant agencies I had interacted with. I originally thought that their services were slightly on the expensive side, but after using them, I can safely say it was worth it as I was offered a place in the end.

Commited and helpful

I learned about Admissionado from a friend that used their services last year. Admissionado helped him get admitted at the MIT and he referred to their services as the best cost-value consultants in the market.

I got in touch with Admissionado and they offered me a free consultant call with Marcela, one of their advisors graduated from Harvard. Marcela turned out to be a really nice and helpful consultant. I decided to buy the Junior Deluxe package.

Marcela helped me applying to 4 full time MBAs in top-10 schools... In about 2 months! I'm 32 years old, well above the average; my GMAT was 720 and my GPA 3.3. Marcela's support throughout the process was consistent and helpful; just what I needed given the time constraint. She made me work harder than I had expected, asking the proper questions in order to better develop my essays and my CV. She always kept pushy and committed to the answer time. In the end I managed to build 4 cohesive and competitive applications that made the best out of my traits and experiences. I got called to interview by 2 out of 4 schools and got waitlisted in another one prior to interview. In the end I got admitted in Booth!! I would definitely recommend Marcela as a great advisor.

Successful snipershot with Admissionado

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by membership [?]

My brother-in-law advised me to reach out to Admissionado consultants and use the free consultation call to reconfirm my application strategy.

During the call with Marcela, I was given very realistic expectations regarding the chance to get accepted to certain schools taking into account my candidate profile and stats, including the age of 30+ that is way above the average age of applicants. In addition, Marcela was happy to give me a high level review of my ready-to-submit essays.

As a result of the call, I reconsidered my approach and decided to focus and snipershot; apply to only one school that was my #1 choice, INSEAD.

Admissionado was also very flexible with creating a customized package of services for me. I was given a certain discount for the Junior Deluxe package and used the "saved" funds to include additional CV review service into my package.

I really enjoyed personal involvement of my consultant, the process and the speed with which we proceeded through INSEAD "beast" application (3 motivation and 4 job essays).I was very happy that consultants did not stick to formal 72-hours turn around and came back with recommendations earlier whenever it was possible. I thank the rest of Admissionado team, who helped Marcela to review my application and essays to have a 360-review of my story.

If you're now in the similar situation, looking for a consultant to help shape up your MBA application, my advise is to fill out their really creative questionnaire and do the one hour consultation. I am very certain that even one hour talk with consultants will make a substantial impact on how you will approach your application. However, if you continue your engagement with Admissionado, I guarantee that entire team will be there for you to bring all your best and show in the most beneficial way in the application.

On separate note, I would like to thank Claudia for her patience while waiting for my long-promised review!

It is less than two months before I start my MBA with INSEAD in Fontainebleau!

Admissionado Juior Delux - Excellent and professional

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by school email address [?]

I applied for CBS, MIT and Wharton in Round 1 with the help from Admissionado. I was admitted into CBS MBA class of 2020 Fall. I received the acceptance call only two days after the interview. The entire application process of CBS took less than a month, from submission to acceptance call. Can't tell how lucky and thrilled I feel to get an offer so early, when ppl around may be still working on their essays or waiting for interview invites. CBS is my #1 choice and I am still super excited to be joining CBS next year.

I think my stats are good (GPA 3.73, top 1%, GMAT 740), but my weakness is that I only have less than 3 years' work experience by now. I worked in Big 4 as an auditor for the first two years, so it was actually difficult to differentiate myself from the pool. Admissionado played a significant part in my application, especially for resume/essays reviews. Their suggestions on LoR were also helpful and straight to the point. I really really appeciate that Marcela, my consultant, gave me encouraging feedbacks when we had the initial call. She gave me much more confidence targeting at the M7 schools in R1. I'd also like to thank Claudia and Lauren. They are very very professional, helpful and encouraging in the entire process.

With prior experience in applying for Master programs at B-schools, I knew that finding a experienced, professional and responsible consultant would be extremely important for MBA application. That's why I chose Admissionado after spending substantial amount of time comparing the services of different consultants. I decided to go with Admissionado because I felt the passion of the team, the professionalism of their posts on different websites like GmatClubs, Chasedream and P&Qs.

I had no difficulty in drafting the resume/essays, so I chose the Junior Deluxe. I'd say the email communication with consultant will be more than enough. They are highly reponsible and will respond to your email very quickly. Regaring the essays, there are 4 rounds of edits. They are extremly helpful in that they really know the requirements/preferences of each program and will put you in the right direction at the very beginning.

I don't know my results for MIT and Wharton yet, but based on my succesful experience getting into CBS, I strongly recommend Admissionado. That being said, the applicant should also be highly committed to his own application. Remember that no one else will be more responsbile for your application than yourself.

Great experience with Admissionado!

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by score report [?]

I started in late May from scratch with no Gmat, no Toefl, no career plan. The essay part began in August and I was able to apply to three schools in round 1. This would not have happened without the strong support from Admissionado. I'm glad that I walk through all these with such a wonderful consultant!

Admissionado basically excelled in every aspect I expected from a consultant. I can easily list a bunch of their strengths. They have rich knowledge in this whole thing. (This was especially helpful to someone who had little idea about MBA when started, like me.) They are experienced in shaping up the essays and CV. They don't do chit-chat but will check on you when your deliverables are overdue. But here are two things that impressed me most.

They are professional! Not to mention the quick turnarounds on essay edits and prompt email reply, every applicant who have to work full-time would understand how important it is to get useful information and right guidance in an efficient way. There was no back-and-forth on insignificant things between Admissionado and me and my consultant was always there to point right at the core. Personally, I like this style of working, because it removed everything vague and left only things that were important and things that I could change. Just trust their professionalism and you'll be surprised to see how smoothly things are getting done.

They see the bigger picture and have faith in me! More than once I was told by other consultants I approached at the beginning (mainly Chinese consultants) that I had been too optimistic and I should apply to schools that had a lower rank and comparatively easier to get in. But when it comes to position and overall strategy, Admissionado know what they are talking about (me getting all interview invitations from the three schools I applied somehow proved that). Even when I was getting two rejections from the three schools I applied in round 1, they were still confident in the whole strategy and in me. And I got accepted by Wharton in the end! Maybe through expectation management, some consultants try to help applicants get into some schools, but Admissionado help you get into the right and best school!

When I decided to go with Admissionado, I was quite determined to go for an MBA education. I don't need prep talks, deadline reminder or someone to hold my hands. I was looking for guidance and advice that can help me elevate my whole package, avoid rookie mistakes and get things done effectively. If you'are like me, spending time with Admissionado will definitely worth it!
