"I was interviewed by an adcom member and a second year student. Interview went on for about 40 mins including the three questions I asked. It was conversational although they were peppering me with questions. 1. Started with an intro. They asked to not mention my work experience details as they had already gone through my resume and essays 2. Why Scheller? Why now? 3. You will be added to a team right away. How would you contribute to the group assignments and projects? 4. Talk about a time when you gave a presentation. Provide some context and how it went. 5. Getting visa sponsorship is tough. What would you do to position yourself to secure a sponsorship from your company. 6. How would your colleagues/peers describe you? 7. What do you look for in a teammate? 8. How would you contribute to the class and to the community? 9. Any question you wish you were asked? 10. I was given time to ask questions which they responded to very warmly."

"Had a 45 min interview with one Adcom and one second-year student. The interview was very conversational and Adcom had access to resumes and essays whereas the second-year student had the resume only. 30-35 min for the interview and 10 min for Q&A. 1. Tell me about yourself. 2. Why MBA? 3. Why Scheller? 4. TMAT when you had a conflict with your teammate at work. 5. An achievement you are most proud of (Personal/Professional) 6. Goals (Short-term and long-term) 7. How will you contribute in the classroom and what do you expect to learn from your peers and classroom. 8. Instance where you showed leadership. What is your leadership style? 9. Anything else you want to share with us. Then had a 10 min Q&A where I asked them questions related to the Scheller MBA program."

"The interview lasted for around 45 minutes, and it was pretty conversational. It was conducted by admissions director and a current 2nd year MBA student. The 2nd year student was having access to my resume only not the entire application. Surprising thing is that, they didn't start the interview with the typical 'Tell about your background' or 'Tell me about yourself' question but rather with 'Why MBA' question after an initial conversation. I asked them whether they would like to hear my introduction, they said that they have my resume handy and wouldn't require that. Below are the questions (may not be in the same order asked) : 1) Why MBA? 2) Why Scheller? 3) What courses or specialisation you are looking for? What clubs you would you like to be part of? 4) What is your post-MBA goal? Any specific companies you are looking for? 5) What is your greatest achievement - Can be professional or personal? 6) Instance where you showed leadership. What is your leadership style? 7) How do you handle conflicts with your team mates? 8) Situation where you dealt with diversity in the team 9) How do your colleagues or friends describe you? 10) Whom did you reach out to among our current students? 11) What do you do in your free time? 12) After learning about me, they felt that I am good at networking. They shared that they are not so good at it and asked me how did I develop that skill 13) Few questions from my resume 14) After the questions are completed, they asked me if I would like to add share anything else 15) Finally, they asked if I have any questions? They wanted to make sure that you are good fit to the school and are a team player. Do enough research about the school and talk to student ambassadors."

"My Interview was with the Executive Director - Career Center and a second year student. In the beginning itself my interviewers made me comfortable and said this would just be a conversation to know you better and we wouldn't be throwing any trick questions at you. They were really polite. The questions were: 1. Walk us through your resume - some follow-up questions about current work 2. Why MBA & why Scheller? 3. What do you expect to get from the MBA experience/ things you want to improve in yourself through an MBA? 4. A situation where you had to deal with a difficult team member? 5. How do you deal with situations in which someone does not agree with you? 6. What would your co-workers and you boss say about you? 7. How would you contribute to the Scheller community? 8. Any surprising situation you encountered during a particular trek? (I had mentioned that as an activity of interest in my resume) 9. Any questions you have for us? It lasted for about 40 minutes. I think they appreciate the research you've done about the school, curriculum, etc. They want people who can get along well within a group and are willing to learn from as well contribute to the team/class. All the best :)"

"I was interviewed by Kevin Stacia and Amy Hayes, and both of them were quite pleasant to talk with. Exactly at the scheduled time I got the Skype video call. Took a few minutes to connect successfully. Lasted about 35 minutes. Questions: 1. Started with their intro and the nature of the interview. It was a semi-blind one (essays and resume). Then they asked me to introduce myself. 2. My current work, what I do and what kind of a team it is. - to this I told them how half of my team is in Atlanta so I know a thing or two about the place. 3. Goals, plan B and why MBA now. 4. How do I prepare myself before a presentation? What is the feedback that I've got about my presentations? How did I work on it? 5. Strengths. 6. What will I bring to the class? 7. What is my plan B if I do not secure a working visa? Am I very specific to companies and locations for my post-MBA plans? 8. How do my friends know me. 9. Diversity experience. If I faced any hardships. How did I deal with them. 10. Conflict with a team mate. How I resolved. 11. A thing my friends don't like/have given a feedback about me. 12. How will I differentiate myself from the rest of the class. 13. Hobbies/what I do on the weekends. 14. What's your leadership style. Questions for the adcom: 1. A lot of questions revolved around immigrant visa issues in the US. So I asked them if they suggest something. They suggested me to be open to all kinds of opportunities irrespective of geographical locations, industry or firm prestige. 2. Is there a music club at Scheller or I can start one. - it's there at gatech. 3. Any new developments that I should be aware of or any feedback for me. That's all I remember. It was a great conversation. Probably one of the most detailed interviews, but they were quite supportive and made it a great experience. All the best to all the applicants! Hope this helped."

"Hi folks, I had my interview with Katie Lloyd. It was pretty very much like a conversation. Unlike the interviewer asking questions all along and at the end giving time for our queries, Katie encouraged me to ask questions as and when they come. I'll say the interview can be broadly divided into 3 parts: 1st Part (Resume Based): 1. Tell me about yourself 2. Questions on work exp 2nd Part (MBA): 1. Why MBA? Why now? 2. Why Scheller? 3. How will you contribute to the classroom? 3rd Part (Behavioral): 1. I don't remember exactly, but nothing out of the ordinary. The interview went very well. It looked like they are really interested in knowing about you in detail and are checking to see if you fit at Scheller. All the best!"

"All interviews for full-time Round 1 applicants were with an MBA admissions or career services staff member plus a second-year MBA student. The interviews were very conversational and I was encouraged to ask questions as they came up, both of which helped make the roughly hour-long time feel much more like a discussion than an interrogation. They started off by asking about why I wanted to get an MBA and why I was specifically interested in Scheller, and then followed up with a host of other behavioral and background questions, as well as questions about what I wanted to get out of my time at Scheller, clubs and organizations I'm interested in, and how I feel I'll be able to contribute to the community. I don't think anything took me by complete surprise- the interview was definitely not set up to intimidate or trick you. Make sure you have anecdotes describing your leadership, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills, and be sure to know your "Why" for both MBA and specifically for Scheller. I did get the sense that they wanted to be sure that I knew the program well and could speak about the various ways in which I'm a complementary fit, so if you haven't visited Scheller yet, either schedule a visit or do your research before the interview. Good luck!"
